Her first ever track 10K and an imperious victory for the 2015 Waterside Half Marathon winner and 2016 National Intermediate XC bronze medallist and she looks good as the summer season looms. The Buncrana 5K on Wednesday 25th May will be her next major outing and with quality opposition expected she will be looking to get her 5K road PB closer to a sub 17 minute clocking.

Congratulations also to Foyle Valley’s Scott Rankin who like Catherine, lapped the opposition to post an impressive PB of 30m 17s to claim the Men’s title and make it a Derry double on the day. Its been a terrific few months for Scott and he too will be in the Buncrana 5k line up in a few weeks time.
